An exciting opportunity has become available for the right candidate: one of our best clients have recently taken on a large amount of work across Birmingham. This contractor provides prestige, high quality schemes across ‘office to residential’, ‘new build’, ‘office to hotel’ and ‘office refits’.
They are now seeking a Design Manager to join their team due to an increase in workload.

The Role
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in taking projects up to £ 20m from cradle to grave status. This Birmingham based role requires the Design Manager to work alongside a team of design managers and co-ordinators to put their expertise against ongoing projects, and future work that is already in the pipeline.
Amongst others, typical responsibilities include
* Assist with Bid Management, from first enquiry through to contract awarded
* Manage the Design Team throughout the tender process
* Analyse Tender Documentation to identify risk, opportunity, insufficient information & incorrect design
* Develop innovative design solutions to client briefs with input from the professional team and sub-contractors
* Review the design on an on-going basis, identify potential interface problems in Construction and resolve within the Design Team.
