Our client based South of the City are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within a similar role.

Duties Include:

* Responsible for full set of accounts
* Manage A/R and A/P
* Review and monitor Cash Flow
* Prepare monthly Cash Flow projections and financial/management reports
* Maintain Fixed Assets register
* Maintain the accounting records of A/R, A/P, GL and Journals
* Work with UK-Accountant in the quarterly VAT return
* Liaise with UK-Accountant and tax agent in the year-end closing and corporation tax filing
* Responsible for projects and training courses invoicing
* Responsible for monthly payroll to staff
* Maintain payroll record
* Maintain personnel records and personnel’s leave records
* Responsible for all the PAYE Forms

Experience Required:

* Able to work independently
* Minimum LCCI/Diploma Holder in Accounting
* Able to operate KashFlow Accounting System would be an advantage

Accounts Administrator

An opportunity has become available with our client to join their Accounting and Finance Department. Working within a busy team you will join us on a permanent basis and will be responsible for ensuring receipt of customer payments

As an Accounts Administrator your main responsibilities will be :

About the role

This is an opportunity for someone relatively inexperienced to join a multi skilled finance team and learn within the role. The focus of the job will be the processing of various types of finance transactions, supporting the work of your colleagues. This will include, but not be limited to:

Purchase ledger processing including reconciliations
Sales ledger posting including recording of payments and banking
Supporting monthly management accounts with preparation of prepayments and accruals

Someone with experience of processing financial transactions in a busy office based environment, perhaps as an Accounts Administrator or Accounts Assistant
Highly numerate with great attention to detail its essential you are confident in being able to check the accuracy and integrity of your own work
Willing to support the finance team as required throughout the monthly accounts cycle, being adaptable to changing priorities
Competent in using IT systems and software to complete your work. Previous experience working with Sage accounts software is advantageous, as is being familiar with Microsoft Excel

Accounts Officer – Cathedral Appointments are seeking a graduate with accounting experience to join a rapidly growing accounting firm on a full-time basis in Exeter. The role is varied, providing assistance in all aspects of investment administration and accounting.

Accounts Officer duties include:

Assisting in all aspects of investment administration and accounting.
Preparing detailed accounting information pertaining to the portfolio of funds, including net asset value calculations, cash reports, revenue projections, management accounts, AIC or other industry returns, VAT returns, cash flow statements, half year and annual statutory accounts.
Ensuring all accounting, administration, statutory and other deadlines are met.

The ideal Accounts Officer:-

Relevant university degree, or AAT part/qualification ideally with relevant experience in the accounting sector.
Competent and experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Word, with basic knowledge of accounting techniques and principles.
Good communication skills.
Methodical, organised and able to meet deadlines.
Highly numerate with a good eye for accuracy.
