Based in our Swindon Depot, located in the Cheeny Manor Industrial Estate (SN2),we are looking to recruit a Full Time, Permanent multi-drop / Delivery / Transit Van Driver to join our growing team.

Working Monday to Friday, 40hrs/wk (typical working hours ranging in shifts between a 07:00am start to a 18:00 finish), we are looking to recruit an experienced multi-drop long wheel base transit van driver (3.5T).

Typical duties will involve delivering and collecting automotive/commercial batteries directly into and from customers premises.

Experience of using a handheld PDA is of advantage, as is the ability to manually handle a heavy product. The individual must have a positive, helpful attitude and possesses a Can do approach towards their work and personal life in order to provide a consummate level of service to our customers.

Essential experience of:
Working as a multi-drop van driver
Happy and outgoing attitude
A genuinely friendly and helpful individual who wants to get to know the customer better
Customer focussed, to ensure consistency and efficiency in all deliveries
Ability to manually handle a heavy product
Neat and tidy, able to portray a professional appearance at work
Some Microsoft Office skills (such as Outlook, Excel and Word)
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Desirable experienced in:
Use of a PDA
Driving a long wheel base transit van
Not more than 3 points on driving licence
Excellent time management and organisational skills

The Role

Based from home, you will collect and deliver vehicles on trade plates from various locations anywhere within the UK. Collecting from dealers, private addresses, refurbishment centres, auction sites and blue chip companies your days will be varied and busy. You will be required to plan your own travel between drop off and collections by utilising public transport or through the resource of our large network of existing drivers.
You will be trained on and issued with our latest hand held technology, which enables us to remotely allocate the jobs to be completed. It also allows the driver to upload vehicle appraisals whilst on site and update head office with their daily movements.
You will meet with customers daily to collect/deliver the vehicle in person and therefore strong customer service skills are essential.The Candidate

The successful candidate will be over the age of 23 and have held a UK Licence for more than 5 years
You should have no more than 6 points on your licence (and have no serious existing convictions i.e. IN10, DR10, TT99)
Off road parking is essential .i.e. garage/driveway at the address your licence is registered to (An allocated space is needed for those times you may take a vehicle home overnight)
You can commit to work a minimum of 3 consecutive days per week including a Monday or Friday

My client are seeking an experienced Van/Warehouse Driver to join their team in Peterborough.

The role:

– Facilitate all inward and outbound stock movements for the branch efficiently, following company procedures, and using IT systems where appropriate.
– Pick and pack goods in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
– Actively maintain and improve housekeeping throughout working hours ensuring that stored goods are kept tidily and in the correct place, using mechanical handling equipment where appropriate in accordance with company procedures.
– Ensure that with all aspects of Health & Safety policies and procedures are complied with in all daily activities.
– Contribute to the effective operation of the branch by supporting other staff in meeting Customer Service levels.
– Continually review operating systems, procedures and practices, recommending any changes to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency and to reduce costs.
