A Desktop Engineer is now required to join a leading IT Services and Solutions organisation. Working in their planned services team the successful candidate will have strong customer service skills as you will be part of a team providing first class technical IT support to their customers.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a total commitment to IT and the ambition to develop personally. You will also have the drive to self-study and learn new technologies in your own time, and will be offered training and support from the company and their internal trainer.
The role is to support the organising, planning and installation of IT hardware which will involve visiting customer sites and setting-up or configuring existing hardware.
Desktop Engineer Key Responsibilities
– Experience of desktop installations
– Working within a customer facing environment
– Ability to investigate, diagnose and troubleshoot installation related issues
– Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, and installation of drivers
– Follow processes and manage paperwork
– Manage the provision and installation of the services required to deliver the solution to our customers
– Maintain a technical skill set to meet changing technologies within our customer base and general IT practices
