A fantastic opportunity as arisen to join a leading food manufacturer working at one of their lucrative sites in the Leeds area. Food experience is essential for this role.

Our client, a food manufacturing business in Leeds, seek to appoint a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias with mechanical exposure) to work at their busy manufacturing site. You will be determined and resourceful enabling you to complete periods of lone working and project work. The appointed Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will need to have food industry experience in a fast paced manufacturing facility.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

– HNC/HND or full apprenticeship required. 17th Edition beneficial
– Experience working in food/FMCG industry
– Previous experience with packaging machinery in the food industry
– TPM, PPM, reactive breakdowns, some project work/installations
– Electrically biased with mechanical fault finding skills

**This is working 4 on 4 off shift pattern**

Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking a varied and busy role offering training on a range of specialist machinery, with plenty of overtime paid at a high rate?

This role would suit a Maintenance engineer with a minimum of a17th edition looking to working in a varied and multi skilled manufacturing environment.

This rapidly expanding and well established company are market leaders in plastic extrusion products and will provide complete training on all specialist machines.

You are encouraged to apply if you have industrial experience or qualifications, from college or university or ex forces or similar with a basic electrical qualification looking for training and progression.

The Role:
* Preventative and reactive maintenance
* 2 days, 2 nights – 4 on 4 off (Continental shift pattern)
* 60% Electrical & 40% Mechanical maintenance

A multi national Engineering business based in the Derbyshire area require 3 contract Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to work for a 6 months period which is likely to be extended

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Provide technical support to the production depts
2) Provide breakdown maintenance support
3) Schedule maintenance activities to reduce time and improve quality
4) Adhere to company Health and Safety Executive policies
5) Complete maintenance logs and reporting systems
6) Maintain spare part stock levels
7) Carry out general maintenance activities

Person Specification

You Must:
1) Have an in depth understanding of pneumatic hydraulic systems and controls
2) Be familiar with a range of grinding and milling machines i.e. Bridgeport, Blohm, Makino
3) Be familiar with EDM machines i.e. Agie, Joema
4) Have an ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
5) Have an in depth understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
6) Have a knowledge of site facilities and services.
7) Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures including equipment isolation
8) Have a positive attitude and be flexible
9) Be willing to learn and undertake and required training

1) HNC Mechanical Engineering and/or ONC Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
2) FLT license (Optional)
3) Crane License (Optional)
5) Working at Heights Qualification (Optional)
