Role of a Engineering Manager

To effectively manage programming, value added pricing, supporting sales and contracts teams with any engineering assistance required. Ensure the engineering team meet all budget, time, cost and quality objectives.

Supporting strategic aims through effective leadership, innovation and management of resource.
*

Assist with maintaining and improving the quality of products, services, tooling and health and safety responsibilities.
*

To manage and be accountable for the performance of his/her team in achieving agreed targets and be responsible for the well-being, motivation and development of his/her staff.

Establish methods to measure and monitor activities and performances of staff.
*

To continuously improve and optimise the site performance through the application of Lean techniques.

Due to continued growth, our well established client is currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Assistant Insurance Broker to join a busy personal and commercial insurance brokerage team near Preston. This busy and rewarding role requires a pro-active and personable professional who has previous experience of insurance gained within an intermediary environment.

You will be reliable and able to stay calm under pressure, working in a busy office as part of a professional team. Efficiency and accuracy are essential skills and you should be computer literate.

The role of Assistant Insurance Broker involves quoting for and promoting a wide range of personal and small commercial lines of insurance products to new and existing customers as well as servicing existing policies and responding quickly to policy renewal, claims and amendment requests. A proven, successful sales record is advantageous.

You will be dealing with customers and insurers both face to face and over the telephone. Therefore, it is essential you are able to provide excellent customer service at all times. There is some Saturday working on a rota required.
