A well-established, family owned, global manufacturing business operating in 8 countries across 3 continents are currently looking to recruit an ‘Multi Skilled Technician’ to be based at their site in Doncaster.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician your role will include but not be limited to; maintenance and repair of all the site equipment, plant and machinery, ensuring that it is operating to the optimum performance specification and standards. Performing breakdown repair, plant maintenance, inspection, verification and administrative duties

– Carrying out breakdown diagnostics / fault finding, repairs and corrective maintenance.
– Performing maintenance checks and remedial repairs as defined by the PPM systems.
– Ensuring engineering stores levels are maintained
– Working closely with production to evaluate problems, implementing remedial solutions.
– Ensuring that the production plan is achieved
– Assisting in the delivery of projects complete and on time
– Performing clerical and housekeeping duties as needed
– Ensuring strict compliance with the company Health & Safety procedures
– To promote a safe working environment for all
– Take action to prevent potential accidents

– Ideally qualified to HND/ONC in Electrical Engineering
– Good PLC knowledge in programming, fault finding and diagnosis.
– 16th / 17th edition wiring regulations
– Ideally some experience of pneumatics and hydraulics
– Electrical Apprenticeship
– Ability to work accurately under pressure
– Ability to liaise confidently and professionally

– £30,590 per annum (including shift allowance)
– 5% matched pension contribution
– 41.25 hours per week (3 shifts)
– 20 days paid holiday with an additional 1 day per years of service (up to a maximum of 5 extra days after 5 years) + Bank holidays

Test Technician

Our established Client based in North Kent is currently looking to recruit an experienced Test Technician.

Duties will include:

To test assemblies in accordance with written test procedures and achieve production delivery targets.
To be able to diagnose any faults on assemblies down to a component level.
To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
To follow instructions as indicated on BOM and route cards
To understand IPC standards with regard to own area.
To actively participate in the Companys Continuous Improvement Programme.

Education/ skills/ attributes:

Minimum ONC/HNC in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
High level of experience within electronic manufacturing and Test environment essential
Good understanding of Test Methodologies essential
Good familiarity with basic and advanced electronic components and their in-circuit functionality recognition of component symbols in circuit diagrams etc
To be very competent in the reading of and interpretation of Circuit Diagrams, with respect to PCB assemblies and systems – essential
Competent Fault-finding ability to be able to Fault-find down to component level essential
Ability to use basic test equipment e.g. Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscope, bench Power Supplies etc
Ability to use more advanced test equipment e.g. Spectrum Analysers, Network Analysers, Function Generators etc desirable
To support the Chief of Test in the fault-finding/repair of Test Fixtures etc – desirable
To have very good general Communication skills

£18-21K p.a.

Working Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm

The desired candidate will possess the skills and experience to carry out all aspects of light vehicle maintenance including light and heavier engine work.

The ideal Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will possess:

– NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent / Time Served Experience
– A valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
– A Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points (you will be subject to licence checks)

Smart Repair Technician

My client who is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are currently recruiting for a SMART Repair Technician to work at their bodyshop.

This excellent opportunity is with a reputable accident repair centre who have a long history of providing an enviable level of service to their customer base for many years. They are looking for someone with a very good eye for detail, someone who will only let a customer have their treasured vehicle back when it is immaculate.

This SMART Repair Technician position will involve preparing vehicles, Stripping, Fitting and working in the Bodyshop to ensure vehicles are delivered in a pristine condition so any work undertaken must be done to a very high standard.

You will therefore be required to have a good all round knowledge of SMART Repair from alloy repair, upholstery, repair to dents, scratches and paint repairs.

Experience required:
– Ideally you will have experience working as a SMART repairer though we will look at someone from a Bodyshop background, Paint Technician OR Panel Beater who can switch disciplines

What will I be responsible for?

Reporting in to the Facilities Manager, the successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the provision of a day-to-day general maintenance service, which includes the carrying out of routine PPM tasks, reactive maintenance and to monitor the delivery of contracted services. Your responsibilities will also include:

– Daily checking of interior and exterior condition of the premises
– Recording utility services meter readings.
– Monitoring temperatures on a daily basis.
– Carrying out weekly tests on fire alarms.
– Liaising with sub-contractors
– General external litter collection and grounds maintenance.

Our Client are looking to strengthen their operations team within the Waste to Energy business. They require a Maintenance Engineer (Electro/Mechanical) for their scheme in Welland (near Lutterworth). You will carry out maintenance tasks, involving electrical and mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities You will report directly to the Operations and Maintenance Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include;

* To carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, 415V motors, variable speed drives, switchgear, etc.
To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate

To assist during major maintenance periods, shut-downs, etc, as required to return plant to optimum availability and efficiency

To propose and develop modifications to plant /apparatus as appropriate

To liaise with operations staff and other maintenance staff as appropriate

To supervise Company and Contractors staff as appropriate

Participate on a 365 day rota and be contacted outside normal working hours to maintain plant availability & efficiency

Maintain the workshop and other work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition

To be aware of and work within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems

Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management

Qualifications Knowledge / Qualifications

* Having served a recognised apprenticeship will have detailed knowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques
Relevant maintenance qualifications

Understanding of, and ability to interface with, P.L.C. controllers, SCADA systems & DCS

Ability / Experience

* Experience gained in a continuous process industry
Some manual handling necessary

Good communication with staff at all levels

Able to work a rota that includes some weekend working to give overall maintenance cover 365 days per year

Able to be contacted, and attend site, outside of normal hours if required

Computer literate and able to train in computerised maintenance system
